Great Tew Grain Processing Ltd processes feed and milling wheat, feed and malting barley, oilseed rape and oats. The majority of the grain is produced by local farmers within a 30 mile radius of the site.

Great Tew Grain Processing Ltd is a grain handling and processing business with drying, cleaning and grain analysis facilities for farmers and growers.
Delivering grain
All HGVs must take the B4022 to either the A361 or the A44. There is no other route that is approved as access to and from the site.
When delivering grain to the site the trailer needs to be sheeted.
The 2011 issue grain passport must be completed in full ensuring that the accreditation sticker is valid and in date and the mycotoxin, post-harvest treatments, previous loads and RED statements are all clearly defined.
Once the vehicle has been weighed in it must then go under the sampler. Once sampled, vehicles pull up in a parking bay alongside and wait to be directed.
Laboratory
The site has a high tech laboratory offering full grain analysis, including Deoxynivalenol (DON) and Zearalenonel (ZON) mycotoxin testing.
The site is regulated by TASCC (Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops) which places strict regulations on the movement and holding of combinable crops entering the food chain. The scheme enables crop traceability from farm to end user, predominantly for human and animal consumption.
The site is a registered member of the UK NIR Grain Network and the Frontier ring check scheme in which all tests and equipment are compared against other grain laboratories around the UK. This ensures high standards and accuracy of results are maintained. Daily checks are also done on the lab equipment to ensure that they are reading correctly.

All grain analysis samples must be accompanied by a completed sample form.
The accuracy of the results is wholly dependent on the submitted sample being representative of the bulk. Whilst every care is taken to ensure accuracy of the laboratory results Great Tew Grain Processing cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or claim that may arise from a dispute on analysis carried out by this laboratory.
A Public Weighbridge Facility
The public weighbridge is open from 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. If you wish to use the weighbridge out of these hours please contact the Weighbridge Office to make an appointment. There is a charge of £11.10 for using the weighbridge.
